Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil mein hai
Dekhna hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai
Waqt aane de bata denge tujhe aye aasman
Hum abhi se kya batayein kya hamare dil mein hai
Tu raha raushan, to jahaan roshan
Magar yeh jaanle, koi yeh bhi roshan hua
Ke har zarra-e-momin, pe likha hai Rab ka naam
Mange hai magar unse, mustaqil dua hamne
Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil mein hai
Dekhna hai zor kitna baazu-e-qaatil mein hai
Hum jab naujawan honge, khoon-e-jigar honge
Tab aye watan, teri rahon mein jaan tak lutayenge
Kehte hain ke marte nahin, dheeraj se jeevan mein
Magar maut se darta kaun hai, apni tanhaaiyon mein
