POV: You have one mood board… and you commit to it. 🧚🏻✨
For my birthday this year, I had exactly one vision: Fairycore.
Even my cake said, “Fairies don’t age.” 🤍
Everything, from the outfit to the hair, makeup, flowers, and photography, was built around that one idea.
As a stylist, here’s how I approached the look:
✨ Step 1: Build the silhouette.
I know my body type doesn’t suit oversized or completely flowy outfits. I need structure first, softness second. So instead of a loose fairy dress, I started with a corset to define my waist and create balance.
🪽 Step 2: Add movement.
A corset can feel quite structured on its own, so I paired it with a pleated ombré skirt. The movement of the fabric softened the look and gave it that dreamy, floating effect every time I walked.
☁️ Step 3: Finish the story.
The draped cape sleeves were the element that made everything feel magical. They added elegance, drama, and that ethereal quality without overwhelming the outfit.
🎀 Step 4: Keep the beauty look cohesive.
The brief to my makeup artist (Poorvii | Luxury Makeup Artist)was simply, “Fairycore.” We kept the skin fresh, the makeup soft, and the hair in a romantic half-up style with loose waves because every detail needed to speak the same language.
📸 Step 5: Don’t forget the atmosphere.
The same mood board went to my photographer (Yashasvi Patidar Yp Studios india), and they absolutely brought the vision to life. The soft light, the flowers, the cake, the balloons… every frame feels like it came straight out of my Pinterest board.
This is something I always tell my clients:
A beautiful outfit isn’t enough. A memorable look happens when every element tells the same story.
And for one day… I got to live in my own little fairytale. 🧚🏻✨
Which detail would you steal first: the corset, the pleated skirt, or those dreamy cape sleeves? 🤍
