๐๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐!
Sometimes youโll hear people say โhiking a mountain is hardโ, while others say โitโs easy,โ but honestly, Iโve come to realize it all depends on your mindset.
During my vacation, I had the incredible opportunity to hike ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ก๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ฐ๐, Rwandaโs fourth-highest mountain, with an amazing team from the tourism sector. At #2900 meters of altitude, this was no small challenge, especially for me, as it was my first time hiking a mountain.
The hike took us about 5 hours, not because of speed, but because we kept stopping to admire the breathtaking beauty of . Every pause was a reminder of how rich and stunning our natural environment is.
As we moved higher, the trail became steeper and more slippery due to rainfall the night before. The final stretch was the toughest, requiring a bit of scrambling and climbing to reach the summit, but we made it! And what a reward it was ๐The 360ยฐ panoramic views were simply unforgettable.
After soaking in the views and snapping a few photos, we began our descent. Going down was easier, but we still had to be careful, as the terrain was sometimes slippery. We reached the base of Mount Muhungwe around 5:00 PM, where we had time to relax, enjoy a picnic meal with our guides. This was also a great opportunity to reflect on my experience and take in the stunning views of the mountain one last time.
This time itinerary gave me a great taste of the natural beauty and physical challenge of Mount Muhungwe in Rwanda. Of course, if I had more time, it would always be possible to extend the hike and explore the area in greater depth.
For my next vacation, Iโm planning to take on a bigger challenge, hiking Mount , Rwandaโs highest peak at 4,507 meters above sea level.
I canโt wait to experience its beauty and push my limits even further!
