The 62 feet high Stambh (pedestal), rising from the ground, depicts the life of a soldier — nurtured within an atmosphere of freedom of choice. The earth (Army), water (Navy) and air (Air Force) are represented through the solidity of the granite stambh, the water body and the lightness of the white granite stone pedestal respectively. The traditional lamp which is lit in reverence to a martyr, is represented by a state-of-the-art holographic image.
