Proud to have worked on the illustration and the animation of the initiative সকলের তরে সকলে আমরা - Global Solidarity Weekend by Quarantined Student-Youth Network
It's a Fundraiser for Bengal, which has been ravaged by cyclones two years in a row while simultaneously fighting Covid. More than 95 artists from 14 countries across the globe have come together to stand by the initiatives taken by QSYN. They are responding to both Covid 2.0 and Yaas Super Cyclone and this conglomeration is taking place not only with an appeal for funds but also to spread the word regarding the ground situation of vast tracts of Bengal where our volunteers have been working for almost a month now with covid raging rampant and now with YAAS Super Cyclone too where they responded within less than 24 hours. The idea is to let the world know what's happening and stand in solidarity.
The people of Bengal are no strangers to death, destitution and despair. We have persevered against overwhelming odds last year and this year too we will prevail. This gathering of minds is neither a celebration nor a festivity but a platform for solidarity across the globe with a single-minded purpose of rebuilding Bengal, not for a few but for all!
As one of the greatest human beings, ever to walk on Earth, had written long back, -
"আছে দুঃখ, আছে মৃত্যু, বিরহ দহন লাগে
তবুও শান্তি, তবু আনন্দ, তবু অনন্ত জাগে"
