Candlelight March Held in Namsai to Seek Justice in Hit-and-Run Case
Namsai, April 19: A candlelight march was organized today by the Galo Welfare Society, Namsai Unit, bringing together various CBOs, youth bodies, and members of the public to express solidarity and demand justice in a recent hit-and-run incident.
The march commenced from 2 Mile and proceeded through Tri Junction Market, culminating at Nimki Park. The initiative was held in memory of Late Smty. Gamyir Bam, who tragically lost her life in the incident near Tengapani.
Participants paid tribute to the departed soul, extended support to the bereaved family, and collectively urged the authorities to take immediate action to trace and apprehend those responsible. The gathering reflected a strong message of unity, concern, and a shared call for accountability.
The event concluded with a solemn note, emphasizing the communityโs commitment to justice and support for the affected family.
