Great opportunity for tribal filmmakers. Submit your short film and documentary to the festival.
We are thrilled to announce that the 6th edition of the Baripada National Indigenous Short Film Festival (BISFF) will be held in December 2024!
This eagerly anticipated event will once again bring together filmmakers, artists, and audiences to celebrate the vibrant and diverse stories of indigenous communities.
This yearβs BISFF promises to be more dynamic and engaging than ever, with a diverse lineup of short fictions and documentaries that explore a wide range of themes. The festival will feature screenings, panel discussions, and interactive sessions with filmmakers, offering a holistic experience for all attendees.
In addition to that, the festival will also honor outstanding contributions to indigenous cinema with awards across various categories, including Best Short Fiction, Best Documentary, Best Director, Best Editor, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, Special Jury Mention (Short Fiction), and Special Jury Mention (Documentary). These awards not only recognize excellence but also encourage more filmmakers to explore indigenous narratives.
Join us this December in Baripada to be a part of this unique cultural experience, where the magic of cinema meets the power of storytelling.
