With folded hands and full hearts, Inside Out looks back at the 2nd Inside Out National Theatre Festival with gratitude, pride, and countless memories. This five-day journey held in two memorable phases: 5th, 6th & 7th December at Bardhaman Rabindra Bhaban, 13th & 14th December at Bardhaman Putul Ghar. The festival found its soul in every performance, every discussion, every applause, and every silent effort behind the stage.
We bow in gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, Government of India for standing beside us. Our heartfelt thanks to Bardhaman Rabindra Bhaban and Bardhaman Putul Ghar—not just as venues, but as partners who embraced the spirit of theatre with us. Eight powerful productions from Odisha, Assam, Jammu, and West Bengal reminded us that theatre speaks one language, the language of art.Two seminars opened spaces for thought, dialogue, and learning. The Inside Out Sammanana 2025, honouring five eminent theatre artists of Burdwan, was our humble salute to those who shaped our cultural roots. One of our proudest moments was beginning this festival with 13 backstage artists of Burdwan. The publication of our festival souvenir preserved memories in ink, while nearly 1000 footsteps over five days proved that audiences still believe in live theatre.
This journey would have remained incomplete without the support of our advertisers, Loknath Sound, The University of Burdwan, Bardhaman Kushilab, Bardhaman The Puppeteers, Bardhaman Press Club and the ever-supportive Theatre Fraternity of Burdwan. Our deepest respect to all backstage artists, volunteers, and workers who carried the festival on their shoulders. Special thanks to all members of our Advisory members, all invited members of festival committee, and every guest who shared these days with us.
This festival reminded us that theatre survives not on stages alone—but in people, patience, and passion. Thank you for walking with us.Thank you for believing in us. Until the next curtain rises…
