She wanted him and he wanted her too.
But sometimes wanting each other just isn’t enough when two people don’t meet in the ways that matter. He felt deeply, but didn’t know how to express it. He cared, but kept it locked behind walls she could never break through. And she… she felt everything all at once. Every silence became a question, every distance felt like rejection, every “I’m fine” sounded like goodbye.
He avoided conversations that required vulnerability, while she searched for reassurance in every word, every action, every pause. He pulled back when things got too real, and she leaned in harder, trying to fix what she didn’t break. The more she overthought, the more he shut down. The more he shut down, the more she spiraled.
It wasn’t that the love wasn’t there. It was just never aligned in the way it needed to be. Timing, emotional capacity, and understanding stood between them like an invisible barrier they couldn’t cross.
In the end, they didn’t fall apart because they didn’t care…
They fell apart because they didn’t know how to love each other in the ways they both needed most.
