Aradhana Utsav – A Grand Tribute to Sri Muthuswamy Diksh*tar

Aradhana Cultural Academy’s “Aradhana Utsav” held on June 14, 2025, was a resounding success, bringing together art connoisseurs to celebrate the 250th Birth Anniversary of Sri Muthuswamy Diksh*tar, one of the Trinity of Carnatic music.

The evening commenced with a soulful invocation by Adithi and Ashwini, setting a divine and reverent tone for the event.

Vid. Rajani Shankar captivated the audience by taking us on a musical and historical journey through Mayavaram, offering deep insights into the cultural and spiritual essence of Diksh*tar’s works.

A brilliant performance featuring Vid. Shruthi Bhat on the vocals, Vid. Vinayak Vaidyanathan,on Veena. They were ably supported by Vid. Sanjay Taranathan on the Mridangam, adding rhythmic depth to the performance.

We were honored by the august presence of eminent personalities, including Padma Shri Awardees R. N. Thyagarajan and Dr. R. N. Tharanathan, along with Mr. Chakravarthy Mohan(Retd. IAS) and Captain Naveen Nagappa (Retd.), whose presence added grace and significance to the evening.

It was truly an evening to remember—steeped in tradition, devotion, and musical excellence.

Come join us in this virtual journey, steered by Vid Rajani Shankar of Guruguha Vaibhava Website fame.
Gayaka - Vainika jugalbandi by Vid Shruthi Bhat and Vid Vinayak Vaidyanathan, ably supported by Vid Sanjay Taranathan on Mridanga.

1. A grand slide Show with the important pictures of the temples of Mayuram is one of the attractions
2. The appetizer is a Tiruppugazh on the kshetra tuned by Shyamala Venkateshwaran
3. The program would be interspersed with shlokas from Puranas, Tevarams and Divaprabandham verses, all on Mayuranatha Swamy and Parimala Ranganatha
4. Also, await for a verse or 2 on Abhayambika, from a special work composed and dedicated to her.
5. The main course, of course are the grand compositions of diksh*tar, on shiva, devi , vishnu.... all in mayuram

Let's soak in the bliss of diksh*tar and celebrate his musical genius
