The chef who hated bitter gourd as a kid is now the reason your child ate it and asked for more. 👀

Murari Narayanan, Chef and Co-Founder of Pepper Farms, brought Kataifi to the table this season, a pastry his team had never used before, and it turned out to be the surprise of the menu. He's also firmly Team Roasted over Team Mashed (though he'll admit roasted can become mashed if you really want).

Watch a room full of picky eaters ask for seconds.

You've seen the "I don't like that" face. Now watch it turn into "can I have more?" This is what happens when children get to discover flavour on their own terms, no pressure, just curiosity.

This is the sixth and final show of the season. After 25th July, the basket closes and the garden goes quiet until next season.

The chef said absolutely not. Gauravi did it anyway.
You watch a bitter ingredient meet a child who has never trusted bitter, and somehow, they stay at the table.

That's the entire job at The Pickiest Picnic: working out how salt, sweet, and time can turn a flavour a child would normally reject into one they lean into. One potato dish alone carries a mushroom note, a dried note, a roasted note, more layers than most of us ever cook with in a single plate.
Bitter just needed a little time. So did the pomegranate molasses.

Our nutritionist has thoughts about vegetable brownies.
She's made them. She just doesn't think sneaking vegetables past your kid is the goal.

Here's why: when you hide a vegetable, you're telling your child it needs to be hidden. That's not a relationship with food, that's a delay tactic.
She told us the one dinner table battle that's not worth having, and that she hated eggplant as a kid and now loves it. Tastes shift. Give kids time, not pressure.
