It all started when Bobby & Krish bumped into each other in a music store. While Krish felt that there was a decline in the present generation's interest in Pop & Rock, Bobby felt that this was simply because of lack of exposure. A shared desire to introduce the beauty of different genres of western music to young minds led to a dream called "Hum & Strum" - a place where anyone could come and discover the musician within. From a humble beginning in a basement with couple of students, today Hum & Strum is a 700+ strong family scattered over two different centers, one at Brookefiled and the other on Sarjapur Road. The faculty @ Hum & Strum are young, passionate, die-hard musicians who eat sleep and drink music!! In order to become a well- rounded musician, one needs creativity & sensitivity along with technical skills; all of which we help students progressively develop, through pedagogy, practice and performance opportunities. Our annual musical extravaganza “The Cacophony” is celebrated from October till December where in we organize series of live gigs with students bands performing at various venues across Bangalore. Our students have performed at Phoenix Mall, VR Bengaluru, In Orbit mall, Hyper city & Forum mall. Each of our live gigs are professionally managed with top of the line sound, light and stage.
