Shankruthi Shankruthi...A performance for a cause. - "We can't help everyone but everyone can help someone" BY THE CHILDREN, FOR THE CHILDREN!

It is very important for kids today to understand the meaning of ‘GRATITUDE.’
Lost in their virtual worlds with the advent of being connected at all times has altered their perception of what’s really important. Taking them one step back, I wish to open their eyes through a dance, music and art course at the end of which there will be PERFORMANCE and all the money raised will go towards helping children and young adults from vulnerable /underprivileged backgrounds. SHANKRUTHI, a Sanskrit word meaning CULTURE OR HERITAAGE, is what I aim to instill in these kids… a sense of Indian culture , and what better way to bring it about …

The different forms of art from different cultures around the world is the best way to bring people TOGETHER….and that’s what I aim to do…bring talented youngsters together to create a wave…a wave that I hope will continue to be a part of a bigger ocean! The aim of the event is to provide a platform for young talents by encouraging them to do what they love and do it for a good cause. Apart from performances, there will also be an exhibition before the show starts. Photography, artwork, jewellery show, cupcake/chocolate, t-shirt displays; where a certain percentage of the money they make will also go towards charity.

Mornings here are basically this - pool’s still cool, air smells like rain that hasn’t happened yet, and everyone’s in no hurry to be anywhere. Even the dogs get it.

Wifi works fine here. That’s not really the point.

Give it an hour in the treehouse and the phone starts staying in the pocket on its own. Leaves doing their thing, light moving through the canopy, nothing asking for your attention the way a screen does.

Even the ones who came to work end up taking longer breaks than planned.
