Scrap to Fab Series:

In this series I will be designing my own accessories / jewelry and clothes using fabric leftovers/scrap fabric pieces or any other clothing piece that is considered a waste. As, most (nearly 80%) of this waste forms the landfill which may take several centuries to decompose. The process of creating handmade pieces using waste as a resource is definitely tedious , slow and challenging but of course is a necessity and the need of the hour. .

The neckpiece I am flaunting in the picture is an extremely lightweight one made out of the leftover waste fabric after making a silk blouse from a tailor shop. .
