First, some tortured etymology. Platon (Greek) means broad-shouldered *. Tonikos (Greek again) means a stretching, muscular tension. Together, Playtonik Productions wants to stretch the artistic muscle, sometimes uncomfortably, in every direction. We're a production company that'll often put ourselves, and you, outside the comfort zone as we examine ideas of love, betrayal, farce & high tragedy through the plays we stage. And we'll always do it in a manner that's hugely entertaining (a tonik for the senses, always playfully yours?)
We're a group of theatre enthusiasts who have skills that directly allow us to work on almost all aspects of theater in detail - architects, engineers, designers, teachers, journalists. And it is this exquisite detail that we promise to bring to you in every production we stage.
