Aaranya Kaand is a vital part of Shree Ramacharitamanas of Gosawmi Tulsidas which is beautifully written in Awadhi language. Retaining the key aspects and to chisel it aptly for a dance production, it has been divided into four scenes namely "Atri Milan", Surpankha prasang", Sita Apaharan" and Shabari Upadesha". This has been rendered in Karnatic style of Music and the dance is wrapped with inspiration from Bharatanatyam and Odissi. To take it further in a simple and lucid way, it has been avoided to add up any extra properties or character costumes or heavy effects, thereby emphasizing on traditional aspects of classical dance utilizing body language, expressions and technical elements only.
