Workshops on Cyanotype, Intro to Analog Photography and Basic and Advanced BW Film Developing Workshops : BANGALORE
Come to Praxis Technē’s Bangalore studio to train in the fundamentals of alternative and analog photography.
Train in the fundamentals of handling analog cameras and developing black and white film. Handle a wide range of analog equipment and experience the joy of working with your own hands. We will have you developing film at home to a high standard, with an understanding of both the technique and the context - historical and contemporary - of analog photography. And once you have learned to handle analog cameras and develop film with the basic workshop take things up a few notches with the Advanced Film Developing workshop which will teach you how to get the most out of Analog.
The Cyanotype printing / alternative photography workshop is a rigorous single day workshop which will set strong foundations for you to use Cyanotype effectively in your creative practice. We will consider emulsion making, paper coating, exposure and composition, processing principles for archival permanence. All of this will be done in the context of the artistic history and scientific principles of the medium. This will allow you to not only learn the methods considered (Cyanotype ) but also prepare you to learn more advanced techniques in the field.
Open to all and no prior experience necessary. All materials provided.
