Our Theatre Collective 'Our Theatre Collective' is a Bangalore based theatre collective that focuses on actor training with Going back to go forward!

Our Theatre had an unprecedented birth in 2009 with a production of 'Beyond The land of Hattamala'(English,Hindi,Kannada) by Badal Sircar.It further went on to produce two works of original writing 'Naariyal Paani' (Hindi) and Prelude (English - Hindi). With its 4th production 'Bhima' , Our Theatre finds itself at a threshold of change inspired by the immersions it has had in Kanhailalji 's theatre and Kutiyattam (classic Sanskrit theatre, Kerala) over the last 3 years. Going forward Our Theatre envisions to create work where the non-verbal can take centre stage. To keep primary focus on the actors 'bodily presence' to create depth, multiple meanings and emotional potency, exploring the aesthetics of minimalism and have live sound/music. To study knowledge systems in other traditional forms in India, derive its essence, find points of departure and strive towards innovating languages of expression.

After a year, IT IS YOU returns to Bangalore.

Last year, this nonverbal performance travelled across Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and West Bengal, finding audiences in theatres, national theatre festivals, and remarkable alternate spaces—a natural farm, a tribal development centre in the Nilgiris, metro cities like Chennai and Kolkata, and smaller towns where we witnessed communities keeping theatre alive with extraordinary care and commitment.

Every place changed the performance. Every audience completed it in their own way.

Now, we're bringing IT IS YOU back home.

A 60-minute performance without spoken words, IT IS YOU invites you to look beyond roles, rituals, and language. Two figures journey through tension, resistance, play, and harmony, unfolding a story through movement and a richly layered soundscape. Without dialogue to guide you, your memories, emotions, and imagination become part of the performance itself.

For the past few weeks, we had the joy of taking Making A World - our theatre workshop for children to three government schools in Kengeri: GHPS Anchepalya, GHPS Kambipura, and Government Primary School, Doddabele

Across games, stories, movement, and imagination, the children built worlds together and discovered new ways to express themselves, collaborate, and play. Every session reminded us of the power of theatre to create spaces for curiosity, confidence, and connection.

A heartfelt thank you to Courtyard Koota for making these workshops possible and for bringing us together with these wonderful schools. Big thanks to Zeenath & Priyanka, the theatre teachers at the schools.

What begins as a post-wedding get-together quickly spirals into an evening of fragile egos, influencer reels, social climbing, suspicious guests, and one family desperately trying to hold their perfect image together.

After the Vows is a sharp, hilarious Indian adaptation of The Wedding by — where the wedding may be over, but the performance has just begun.
