A dad's Rant!!! My sense of fatherhood.
I would be a dad,
I didn't know,
until your mother told.
I didn't know,
When you turned and tossed,
In her womb.
I didn't know,
Even How to hold, as a Baby
And I don't know,
How not to scold you as a daddy.
I don't know why you cry.
I don't know what you eat,
Or like or dislike.
I don't know your friends' name
Or your favourite game.
I don't know, many things,
I don't know your wishes or fears,
I don't know you, inspite of these many years.
All I know, is to wish and work tirelessly,
To be the answer, to all your questions,
To be the strength, in all your struggles,
To be the hopeful wind beneath your wings,
In every challenge or despair.
To be the comfortable sleep, for your beautiful dreams.
I don't know you, and I probably never will,
I'm just a drying old stump, who isn't meant to know,
But, merely bear to survive, and let a flower like you grow.
dear daughter for making me a , I have been trying to learn and figure.
