The World Storytelling Day Swap was announced by FEAST.
Well, I did not have anything interesting to share on "Light in the Dark" theme. But then, destiny had something for me... I think it was more than a week later as I was reading, I came across this simple yet amusing folktale from Karnataka and I could see the "light in the dark" :)
Yes! I got my story and I applied for the FEAST telling.
Again... destiny had something else for me. I was on "stand-by"
hmmm... so was really not sure if I was going to actually tell my story at the event.
D-Day arrived. Somehow, that day morning, a thought struck,
"What if I try something different... something fun?"
Well, I was still not sure if I was going to tell... yet i know my preparations will never go waste... I got excited!
I decided to do it a musical one... i collected and even 'created' my instruments :)
Created the frames in my mind as to what I want to do, how I want to do... rehearsed it twice and there I was at the session, all set ... still not sure if I will be telling...
And I waited... waited... waited... as I listened to stories shared by others. And finally, i got the message "Meenu... you will be next"
"My Light in the Dark" moment, should I say??? 😜
Woohooo!!!!
I was literally jumping ...
The next moment I was singing and then the story unfolded with music, sound effects , singing and rapping :)
A new style... a new experience...
As I saw all eyes glued to the screen and the heart emojis flying here and there followed by the lovely messages on the chat box as well as personal dms :)
Thank you FEAST Roger Shraddha and all those who shared your appreciation.
Special thanks to Shraddha for capturing the moments.
And ofcourse grateful to Jeeva for taking time out to watch my performance and give her feedback too :)
