Greetings to everyone on the eve of an extraordinary national (yet individual) milestone. Gratitude to all great women and men who brought us here. May there be love and peace everywhere.

We release a music production every third Thursday. This one followed the schedule on YouTube but we didn’t post them on social media due to the Covid chaos around us. Here it is now - a composition called ‘Aies Bayo’ with artistes Khalid Ahamed (vocal and composition), Apoorva Krishna on the violin and Rahul Shivakumar on the Darbuka.

Although Khalid Ahamed had now made Bengaluru his home, he is originally from Kashmir and writes and sings in Urdu and Kashmiri. Khalid Ahamed is also a guitarist for the band Parvaaz.

Apoorva Krishna is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music. Apoorva has collaborated with many well known artistes in the past including Ustaad Zakir Hussain and Shankar Mahadevan. She is quite versatile on the violin and can switch easily between Indian and Western styles.

Rahul Shivakumar is a percussionist and drummer. He has been schooled in both the Carnatic rhythm tradition and on Western drums & percussion. Rahul has performed in more than 500 concerts with reputed maestros including Arun Sagar, Vijay Prakash, Arjun Janya, Naveen Sajju, Raghu Dixit, B Jayshree, Sangeetha Katti, Chethan Naik, Ananya Bhagath, Chakravarti Sulibele and Ananya Bhat.
