ಬದುಕಿನ ಪಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದಿವ್ಯವೊಂದರ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೇ. ಅಂಥ ಒಂದು ದಿವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಲೌಕಿಕದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ನಾಟಕ ರೂಪ ತಾಳಿತು. ಈ ನಾಟಕದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರವಾದ ಜಾನಕಿ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರೊಳಗೂ ಸುಪ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಅವಳು ಕಾಣಿಸುವ ಜಾಡು ಹಿಡಿದು ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮನಮ್ಮ ಸತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ವಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ಜರೂರು ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ದಿನಮಾನಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ವರ್ತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಭೂತದ ಸಂದಿಗ್ಧಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗುವ ಜಾನಕಿ ನಮಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸ ಹೊರಟಿರುವ ಲೋಕ ಯಾವುದು? ಅವಳು ತೋರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಲೋಕ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದಿಲ್ಲೊAದು ಬಾರಿ ಹಾಯ್ದು ಬಂದಿರುವ ಲೋಕವೇ. ಪಲ್ಲಟವೊಂದರ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಜಾನಕಿಗೆ ಈ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಯೇ ಜೀವಾಳ. ಅವಳ ಸುತ್ತ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಚಿತ್ತಕಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸರ್ವೇಶನಿಗೂ, ರಾಣಿ- ಮಧುಕರರಿಗೂ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಕತೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಜೀವವೆರೆವ ಜೀವದಾಯಿನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
