About the Artist

Bengaluru based Hobby artist Gayatri Sivaramakrishnan has been honing her skills in painting for the past 10 years. Being a passionate learner who constantly strives to improve herself, what started off as a hobby has now become a part time profession for her. She learnt Tanjore Painting from a very skilled teacher who was very meticulous and detail oriented that set the base for her entry into this beautiful world of colors. Gayatri's prime forte is Tanjore Painting and her artworks are adorning the walls of select homes in India, US and UK. Her love for drawing faces, made her learn Kerala Murals which is another traditional art. Seeing a divine face shape up gives her immense happiness and satisfaction. Her Kerala Mural Painting "Dancing Ganesha" was showcased in the Art exhibition of "The Whitefield Dance Carnival" in the year 2018. She has also participated and displayed many of her paintings in the prestigious Chitra Santhe 2021. Now, she is exploring the nuances of Acrylic Painting on Canvas. Her mission statement is "Be willing to be a beginner every single morning, as no one starts off being excellent."

Gold doesn't simply sit on a Tanjore painting.
It catches the light.
It creates depth.
It accentuates every detail.
And somehow, it makes the divine feel a little more luminous.

"The Collaboration That Shaped an Epic"

Vyasa had a vision.

Ganesha had the discipline to capture it without pause.

Between them was an unspoken understanding that transformed spoken words into one of the world's greatest epics.

What's one quality you believe every great collaboration must have?

17/07/2026

One narrated without pause. The other wrote without interruption. Together, they gave the world an epic.

Work in Progress - Ganesha writing Mahabharata

I chose this theme because it reminds us that every great creation needs both a visionary and a devoted hand to bring it to life.

Do you enjoy seeing mythological stories interpreted through art? I'd love to know.
