Ever noticed a plant where the flowers seem to grow under the leaves? 👀
At first glance, it almost feels like something is wrong-like the plant is growing upside down. But here’s the beautiful twist. In Phyllanthus leptoclados, what you think are “leaves” are actually not leaves at all. They are specially adapted mini branches arranged so neatly and flat that they perfectly mimic leaves.

Because of this clever structure, the flowers grow from the nodes of these branches-exactly where they’re supposed to but to our eyes, it looks like they’re hanging beneath leaves. It’s not a mistake, it’s an illusion designed by nature.
This unique arrangement, known as phyllanthoid branching, helps the plant capture light more efficiently, position its flowers better for pollination, and grow with remarkable energy efficiency.

So the next time you come across a plant like this, pause for a second. Look closer. What seems simple is often a beautifully hidden strategy-nature quietly showing off its genius.

Thank You for Being Part of NAF 2026
(Moments with Nature – Pause. Observe. Belong.)

To everyone who joined us at Nature Aquarium Festival 2026-thank you.

You didn’t just attend an event.
You chose to pause from your routine.
You chose to observe deeply.
You chose to belong to a community that values nature, balance, and mindful creation.

“Moments with Nature” was about intentional time spent with nature at arm’s length — unhurried, meaningful, and present. Because of you, that intention became a shared reality.

Your presence, conversations, energy, and openness brought this year’s theme to life in the most beautiful way.

We are grateful you paused with us.
We are grateful you observed with us.
And most importantly, we are grateful that you belong with us.

With heartfelt gratitude,
ADA India

The Coorg Shandy Mini Paludarium Workshop wrapped up successfully.
From curiosity to creation.

We promised a unique hands on experience and that’s exactly what happened. Participants came curious, ready to learn and left with their very own mini rainforest, discovering the calm of nature, the magic in tiny details and a whole new way of seeing the world around them.

Seeing their smiles, excitement, and pride in what they created reminded us why we love what we do.

Thank you to everyone who joined us: your curiosity made this workshop truly special.

Stay Curious…Stay tuned…

A quiet frame… yet the colours speak loudly.
Bosemani Rainbow (Melanotaenia boesemani) — painted by nature, captured in stillness.
Did you know why they’re called Bosemani Rainbow?

Because this species, Melanotaenia boesemani, was named in honour of Dr. Marinus Boeseman, the Dutch ichthyologist who first collected and documented them in West Papua.
His name paired with their iconic dual tone colours gave rise to the name Bosemani Rainbowfish.
