It’s been a while since my last post and I have been in the midst of some life changing events lately that have taken up my time!
Well… I am happy and nervous at the same time to announce that I have decided to take a break from my corporate life and focus on doing something that I have been wanting to do for a while now!
As of February 2022, I have joined as a full time Co-founder at together with my wife !!!
And while I ease in to this role, I will also be pursuing pottery with a lot more energy, time and dedication. Over the next few weeks you will hear about my plans for the future, my pottery and life in general!
Super excited to begin this next phase of my life - hopefully will be a start of a brand new exciting time with ups and downs and plateaus in between!
And while I sit down to write this note, I recognise that it hasn’t been an easy decision and certainly not with complete certainty or clarity - but with absolute sincerity!
I am buckled in and the ride is about to start!

This trinket tray perhaps, in its own way adapts cubism and Indianizes it… loved this piece right through its journey from the work table to fire and back!!

Today I begin two significant countdowns on Potter by Chance….

The first countdown is more of a personal landmark! Counting down to making and sharing a 100 ceramic pieces! This has been a long time coming… Stumbling on to pottery as an art form back in January 2020, it has been a slow and satisfying ride!!
Being self taught, I have had my fair share of crashes and burns but I have managed to get this far. The journey has only gotten more exciting!!!
This tea mug, my 94th piece worth sharing! All along, it has been my endeavour to throw different shapes and make distinct forms.
Not to forget, the pieces that don’t find mention in my posts here - the quintessential learning curves!
Well, here I am and looking forward to showcasing my 100th piece soon enough!!!

The second countdown per se, is an endorsement of my progress - by you lovely patrons!!! Starting off in 2020, I took sometime to showcase my pieces as I wasn’t sure of how they measured up - anxieties of a self taught artist, you see. What kept me going during those uncertain times was the constant unflinching endorsement of those who made it to this page and dropped a comment or a word of encouragement or two. Standing at 198 followers on this page today, I would like to thank you all for recognising my growth as a potter and for your appreciation, which I cannot describe through words.
