A phase in life where you either have a crisis or you suddenly see that ray of sunshine! It's been the latter for me. A couple of years ago, a zentangle gift from a friend got me interested in this particular artform and from there, Pinterest (another great find) threw so many options my way and it's been a great journey in the world of art from there on. Folk art is my newfound love! The big wide internet world has taught me so much about folk art forms of India and it is amazing to see the kind of work being done by the remotest of tribes! From Madhubani to Gond to Chittara to Kerala Mural work to Cheriyal art to Kalamkari to Warli to Phad paintings to Pattachitra to Saura art to Aipan and lots more, India is a treasure trove of folk arts! Going beyond, the world is, as Shakespeare said, "a stage" for rich folk art! I have created this page to showcase my experiments in recreating some of these art forms.
