Our friends Outside In Theatre and SITI's former Producing Director Megan Carter present a site-specific performance installation 'rasgos asiáticos' that examines migration and displacement, and unearths hidden histories in the confluence of China, Mexico, and the United States.

Automata welcomes rasgos asiáticos, a performance installation that explores the fluidity of borders and identities through inherited stories, fragmented memories, and recurring dreams. Congratulations, Anne, for being named the 2023 recipient of the Gordon Davidson Award from the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation!

The award recognizes a director or choreographer for lifetime achievement ad distinguished service in the national not-for-profit theatre.

From Anne Bogart: "During this past autumn I had the intense pleasure of working with Paul Zimet and Ellen Maddow, two of the founders of The Talking Band, on a brand new production entitled 'Existentialism.' We created the piece together as part of The Talking Band’s 50th (!) anniversary season. We will premiere the production in February at La Mama in the glorious and spacious Ellen Stewart Theater.

SITI shares in the shock and sadness across our community as we learn of Diane Ragsdale's sudden passing. Diane had a long history with SITI Company going back to her days at On The Boards and Mellon. Diane joined the SITI board in 2020 and was instrumental in shaping the company's Legacy Plan in the years that followed.

Just last month, Diane was elected Board President of SITI, Inc and dove into 2024 bringing the same kind of thoughtful and leadership to SITI's legacy work that she has brought to so many artists and organizations through her life.

Diane was passionate about ensuring art and artists can thrive in our communities. She lifted our sector up and held us accountable. She brought joy, optimism, and boundless curiosity to her work. Her enthusiasm was infections, and her impact is unforgettable.

We grieve with her family, friends, and colleagues.
