অনেক সংশয়,অনেক সন্দেহ,অনেক আশংকা আর বহু কথার ভয় নিয়ে শুরু করা "বালুরঘাট নাট্যকর্মী"র এই অন্যপ্রয়াসের এবার ৯ বছর..
বিগত আটবছরে এই কাজটা না করে আমাদের পূজো শুরু হয়নি..
আর কৃতজ্ঞ থাকি সেই সব মানুষগুলোর কাছে,যাঁরা আমাদের ফিরিয়ে দেন না বরং আনন্দের সাথে আমাদের সাধ্যকে গ্রহন করেন।
এবারও আমরা থাকছি ষষ্ঠীর সকালে..
নতুন পোশাক কিংবা স্বল্প পুরনো পোশাক, কিছু ছবি আঁকার সরঞ্জাম, খাতা-পেন, ছোটদের সাজগোজের উপকরণ এই সব সরাসরি আমাদের দিতে পারেন.. আমাদের কাজে সরাসরি উপস্থিতও থাকতে পারেন..
কথা দিচ্ছি, ভালোলাগাটুকু ফেরত পাবেন।।
(" স্কুল ড্রামা ফেস্টিভ্যাল" এর দিনগুলোতে আপনি চাইলে আপনার সাধ্যমতো জিনিস সরাসরি দিয়ে যেতে পারেন নাট্যমন্দির প্রাঙ্গনে। আগামী ১৫ তারিখ পর্যন্ত আমরা থাকছি এখানেই।)

I hope this heat helps you to understand why we talk about the environment, why we seek your help, your presence and your participation in our small initiatives. Our actions are leading us to the bigger suffering, we are okay to turn on the AC and just blabber about "উফফ কি গরম পড়েছে" but we are not ready to accept the occured situation is our deed. I believe the moment we start accepting our wrongs we start working towards making it right. We tend to forget very quickly you may forget this post tomorrow, but don't forget to save the environment that's the plea.

20th April 2024 we, as in Arts-Connect like every year along with two more NGO পথেরদিশা ফাউন্ডেশন Patherdisha Foundation and দিশারী সংকল্প বালুরঘাট and also with the help of few independent artists Rahul, Monomoy, and Bineeta hosted this small awareness campaign in Balurghat to help people understand the importance of river Atrai and so the importance of all the rivers and trees. I would like to thank Uttarbanga Sambad for giving us a voice by sharing our small initiative in their platform so that many others can know 🙏🙏🙏

প্রতিবাদের শুরু টা হয় সচেতন নাগরিকদের হাত ধরে। সঠিক তথ্যে, প্রযুক্তি, এবং আলোড়নের অভাবে আমাদের চারপাশে অসচেতন ব্যক্তির সংখ্যা গরিষ্ঠ,আর এই অসচেতনতার দরুন আত্রায়ীর বুকে জমে চলেছে পরিত্যক্তের পাহাড়। শুখিয়ে চলেছে নদীর জল এবং লুপ্তপ্রায় বহু মৎসের অস্তিত্ব। পাশাপশি চলছে প্রাকৃতিক ভাবে বয়ে চলা নদী এবং তার জলের ওপর ভারত এবং বাংলাদেশ এই দুদেশের অধিকার এবং অধিগ্রহণের লড়াই। চলছে দূতরফে নদীর মাঝে বাঁধ নির্মাণের পালা। ফলত ২০২০ সালে Arts-Connect এবং তার সাথে যুক্ত শিল্পী গোষ্ঠী, বালুরঘাটের আরো কিছু শিল্পী, কিছু স্বেচ্ছা সেবী দল যার মধ্যে অন্যতম পথেরদিশা ফাউন্ডেশন Patherdisha Foundation , এবং পূর্বে যারা আত্রায়ী নদী কে সুস্থ রাখার প্রচেষ্টায় যুক্ত ছিলেন অর্থাৎ দিশারী সংকল্প বালুরঘাট । এদের একত্রিত করে শুরু করা হয়েছিল, যারা নদীর সবচেয়ে কাছের অর্থাৎ যাদের বাড়ি নদী সংলগ্ন তাদের সচেতন করবার পরিকল্পনা। নদীর ধারে নানান ধরনের সাংস্কৃতিক এবং গঠন মূলক আলোচনার মাধ্যমে। গতকাল এই প্রচেষ্টার চতুর্থ বছর অতিক্রম করে। তবে এবছর ভোট চলার দরুন নদীর ধার থেকে আমাদের স্থানান্তরিত হতে হয় চারদেয়ালের মাঝে।
কাজেই সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যা রয়ে গেলেও হয়ত সচেতন করবার উদ্দ্যেশ্য টা পূরন হয়ে উঠলো না। তবে আগামী দিনে আমরা সকলে মিলে নিশ্চয় আবার সেই সচেতন সমাজ গড়বার লক্ষ্যে ফিরে যাবো ভিন্ন সময়ে, ভিন্ন স্বাদের উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে।

আমার আপনার সবার প্রিয় শহর বালুরঘাট আর বালুরঘাটের প্রাণ কেন্দ্র আত্রেয়ী । কিন্তু প্রাণ কেন্দ্রের খবর কতটা রাখি আমরা ? খবর দেবার প্রস্তুতি চলছে আসুন দেখা হোক , হোক কথা ।।

It is overwhelming to see the initiative we took first in the year of 2020 along with our artist,and performing arts group, collectively to talk about river Atrai to save it's water, fish, and flow, that has reached to many groups and individuals. We are glad that, we and our work have inspired people to talk more and more about river Atrai.
Congratulations and best wishes to all the groups, officials, and individuals keep talking keep doing good work around Atrai and we will make the change together.
