DarkXel is the project of Portuguese producer Axel Teixeira, whose fascination with psychedelic electronic music began in 2011 and crystallized in 2012 upon discovering psytrance. He started mixing in 2015 and launched DarkXel in 2016.
He has released on labels including Alice-D Records - known for curating darkpsy, hitech, and experimental artists - with his Clockwork Metaphysics EP standing out as a defining work. He's currently part of Tartara Records.
His sound fuses ethnic influences, tribal rhythms, and digital/analog synthesis into cinematic, psychedelic soundscapes exploring the duality of light and darkness - aiming to activate deep states of consciousness beyond the dancefloor
