Sculpture of Varaha from varaha temple Khajuraho.
This type of Varaha murti were also found in chanderi which is some 300 KM from Khajuraho.
A intact one is keept in ASI musium Chanderi and a broken one is keept in the garden.
Though Chanderi was not ruled by the Chandela dynesty still there is striking similarity when it comes to temple architecture and wall sculptures.

Bhimbetka is one of the important chapters of glorious past of India. This place has cave shelters used by prehistoric caveman with cave paintings made by prehistoric caveman of three different periods.Time period of this paintings is 5000 years to 30000 years from today.
various paintings show the development of art and thought process of three different era.Different types of natural colours were used which lasted for such long time.
we are so habitual seeing road signs getting disappeared in a years time figure of 5000 and 30000 years are way beyond our zone.
I love this paintings for one more reason. It just throws the A***n migration theory which is based on absence of horse in harrapan sights out of the window. You can see livestock, horses, procession and hunting in images which are from way before 1000 yrs BC.

Omkareshwar is one of the jyotirlingas located in madhyapradesh there is a trail to do omkareshwar parikrama.Once on top of hill you will find this ruins of a ancient temple.Sanctum is rebuilt rest is restored. It has beautiful pillars and a sawrgmandap. Swargmandap is squarish unlike other places where it is round.outer wall has a typical Gajpatta with elephants which have been destroyed by invaders. If you look carefully there is one ststue of warah awtar on a pillar.I was a bit disappointed to get a flat sky.
In my mind I am sure I have to revisit this place.Monsoon would be ideal I suppose.
