The Word " Rangayan " means your first step on the stage & just as the name suggest Rangayan is a basic Theatre & Acting Workshop helping & guiding starters with their first step on the stage. The Workshop is designed & conducted by known mentors of Ahmedabad namely Rajoo Barot(NSD), Kabir Thakore, Shivam Parekh(FTII) & Vishal Shah. The Workshop is designed in such a way that it covers the basics
of Theatre & Acting in depth. Rangayan makes sure that the participants are trained in a way that their roots are strong enough before they begin the journey. Rangayan was first conducted in 2014 by a collaborative effort of Rangmandal & Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Akademi, which was a grand Success. Later the Mentors and Team of Indie Productions realized the impact of the workshop and hence decided to make Rangayan workshop a regular feature for the Young Theatre enthusiasts of Ahmedabad & Gujarat. Hence Indie Productions took the lead and with the support of ScrapYard, Concern & Act and Ahmedabad Theatre Group, Rangayan is organized regularly. Currently Rangayan is focusing on imparting basic Theatre & Acting skills through regular basic workshops in Ahmedabad & other parts of Gujarat. Also the basic workshop is designed to develop skills for communication, Group building, Working in a Team, Leadership, Public speaking, etc.
