אמא שלי נפטרה אתמול, באותו היום שבו הסתיימה רשמית המלחמה הנוראית והחטופים חזרו הביתה. ערב חג שמחת תורה.

היא נפרדה מהחיים ברוגע, בשקט ובלי סבל. החיים פותחים וסוגרים מעגלים.

היתה לי הזכות להיות לצידה ביומיים האחרונים שלה, להשמיע לה את השירים שהיא אוהבת, להחזיק לה את היד, ולהביט בעיניים בחיוך בלי מילים.

אני חשה עצב עמוק יחד עם שמחה של הודייה — על הזכות להיות ביתה של אישה עוצמתית, פשוטה ונשגבת באצילותה.

נשמת ציפורה אימי פרשה כנפיים אל החופש והשלום.
בגיל 88 — גיל נפלא של אינסוף כפול

אוהבת אותך, אמא.
האהבה שלי אלייך לא נעלמת — היא רק משנה צורה.

Mi madre falleció ayer, el mismo día en que terminó oficialmente esta terrible guerra y los secuestrados regresaron a casa.

Se despidió de la vida en paz, con serenidad y sin sufrimiento.

Tuve el privilegio de estar a su lado dos dias antes que su cuerpo se fue para siempre, ponerle las canciones que amaba, sostener su mano y mirarnos a los ojos con una sonrisa sin palabras.

Siento una profunda tristeza junto a una alegría de gratitud — por el honor de ser hija de una mujer tan fuerte, tan sencilla y tan noble.

El alma de Tzipora (significado de nombre es pájaro) extendió sus alas hacia la libertad y la paz.

A los 88 años — la edad del doble infinito.

Te amo, mamá.
