As the lights dimmed and the curtain fell, our production of Turandot concluded its final performance at the Israeli Opera. Looking back just 20 days ago, we were living in a time of great uncertainty. Due to the sudden outbreak of war, our rehearsals were forced to stop, and each day we were prepared to run to the shelter whenever an attack occurred. But the moment the war paused, we immediately returned to our work. In just five days, we successfully brought this classic Royal Opera House production of Turandot to the stage, and over the following 13 days, we completed 11 performances.
Wow—this truly felt like a mission impossible for all of us.
Everything that happened during these two months in Tel Aviv will remain unforgettable for the rest of my life. As we part ways, I want to sincerely thank all the staff and artists who worked so hard on this production. I am also deeply grateful to the opera house for the care and concern they showed during the war—every message of support meant so much to me and will stay in my heart. And thank you to everyone who helped me during the work process.
Let me end this chapter with one final sentence:
“In the cruelty of war, we are all losers. Only love is the eternal victory.”
