Snowball Studios is pleased to announce Sonya Carey as its new Head of Production.

Carey rejoins Snowball after having previously worked with them as a producer on the Kidscreen Award nominated Alien TV. In the newly created Head of Production Role, Sonya will oversee the new season of Batwheels and other projects within Snowball.
Sonya brings over 25 years of experience to the role, achieving many notable credits including and including “The Princess and the Frog”, “The Proud Family Movie”, “Winnie the Pooh”, and “Daniel Spellbound.”

In addition, Sonya is the CEO and Founder of The Animation Lounge, which offers 2D Animation Software classes and Filmmaking workshops to inspire and educate the next generation of artists. Carey’s work with The Animation Lounge has won her the 2022 Reelworld Trailblazer Award, which recognizes outstanding achievements by racially diverse professionals in the Canadian media and entertainment industry.

Snowball Studios is thrilled to welcome Carey back to the team, excited to continue working with her on her mission to inspire and create.
