איך הכול התחיל?
זיקתנו לאמנות פיתחו בנו השראה והובילו אותנו אל הצורך בהרחבת המודעות לאמנות ותרבות בקרב הציבור הרחב בישראל ויצירת הזדמנות לקיום מרחב אמנותי הפועל בזמן הווה.
מהי "נקודת מגוז"?
הגדרה מילונית: "נקודת מגוז ברישום פרספקטיבה היא נקודה בתמונה אליה מתכנסים קווים מקבילים במרחב, וכך נוצרת אשליה של עומק."
נקודת מגוז היא מטאפורה למרחב בו מתקיימת התערוכה ואילו האמנים המגיעים ממקומות שונים הם
קווים דמיוניים שנמתחים עד לנקודה שבה מתרחשים הדברים.
המקום משתנה מאירוע לאירוע כך גם הקווים הדמיוניים מתארכים, כמות האמנים גדלה ונוצרת דינאמיקה מעניינת וייחודית בניהם.
נקודת מגוז היא הפקת תערוכות "ג'יפסית" (נודדת) ביתה הוא בכל מקום ושום מקום.
הנחת היסוד שלנו היא שקהל המיינסטרים לא מרבה להיחשף לאמנות אליטיסטית (כגון:גלריות, ומוזיאונים) ולכן התעורר בנו חזון ליצור מציאות המאפשרת מפגש בין צופה "אקראי" לאמנות.
ההכרה בכך שאדם בעת בילוי חברתי כזה או אחר זוכה לחוויה שטחית בלבד שרק מעבירה את הזמן, הובילה אותנו להבנה שיש מקום למזג בין משמעות החיים להנאה באמצעות האמנות. ההכרה בכך שהקהל צמא לחוויה עמוקה יותר המביאה עמה ערך מוסף הולידה את נקודת מגוז.
איך בעצם זה עובד?
אמנות בזמן אמת זה שם המשחק - אמנים מציירים, מפסלים, יוצרים במדיה מורחבת וחולקים את האינטימיות הקיימת בתהליך יצירה אישי והופכים אותו לתהליך יצירה חברתי המושפע מסביבתו. כל אמן יוצר תחת אותו הקונספט אשר הוחלט מראש וכל יצירה נולדת ומתגבשת במספר שעות בלבד. הרכב האמנים משתנה ומתרחב מפעם לפעם, בהתאם לתנאים ולקונספט.
יש מקום לציין שיצירה שנוצרת תחת "מגבלות" של זמן ומקום יוצרת בתוכה קצב וחיים המפרים אותה באופן אחר מיצירה שנעשית בין קירות הסטודיו\חלל העבודה הפרטי והאישי של האמן.
הדבר דורש מכל אחד מהאמנים יכולות פרופורמיות ותקשורת בינאישית/חברתית על מנת לקיים את החזון מאחורי נקודת מגוז.
רובד נוסף של אמנות בזמן אמת נוצר ע"י הזמנת הקהל ליצירה ועשייה תחת קונספט התערוכה ו\או יצירת אינטראקציה שיתופית בין היצירה עצמה לקהל - לעיתים היחס בין הצופים למציג, הם יחסים רגילים שבין אמן לקהלו. לעתים הקהל מתבקש להשתתף בפעילות מסוימת ובכך ליטול חלק מעשי במיצג.
מהו החלק המעשי? - מדובר בלקיחת חלק ביצירה, כגון: ציורי קיר, ציור על בד, פיסול, צורות בהן הקהל מקבל הזדמנות לבטא את חופש היצירה שבו. או לקיחת חלק בפעולה אמנותית המקנה לצופה חלק מהיצירה עצמה. בפעמים אחרות מדובר בהטבות הניתנות לקהל דרך שיתוף אמנים מסוג מעצבי שיער, סדנאות צילום מגוונות וכו'.
מהו תפקידנו?
נקודת מגוז הינה גוף עצמאי המפיק את מערך התוכן האמנותי לאירוע מתחילתו עד סופו:
- פיתוח קונספט לתערוכה
- ליהוק אמנים
- לוגיסטיקה
- תפעול שוטף של האירועים

How did it all start? our affinity for art has developed our inspiration and led us to the need of broadening the awareness for art and culture among the general public in Israel and creating an opportunity for the existence of "artistic space" acting in present time. Lexical definition:
"In graphical perspective, a vanishing point is the point of intersection of parallel lines in space in order to create the illusion of depth." A vanishing point is a metaphor for the space the exhibit is been held and which the artists are the imaginary lines starching to the point where thing take place. The place alternates in each event and so does the imaginary lines grow longer, the quantity of artists increases and forms a unique and interesting dynamic between them. Our assumption is that "mainstream" crowd is not exposed to "elitist" art such as galleries and museums and therefor a vision awoke in us to create a reality which allows an encounter between "random" spectators to art. The acknowledgment that a man hanging out at a social event only receives a superficial experience that just passes the time led us to the understanding that there is a place to merge between the meaning of life and pastime through art. The acknowledgment that the crowd is thirsty for a deeper experience that brings with it an extra value gave birth to ""Vanishing Point. Art in real time is the name of the game-artists paint, sculpture, create in extended media and share their intimacy in the process of personal creation and transform it to a social creating process that is affected by its surroundings. Every artist creates under the same concept that was developed ahead and every creation is born and crystallized in only a few hours. The composition of artists varies from time to time depending on the place and concept. One thing to point out is that a creation formed under the" limitation" of time and place creates within it a rhythm and life that fertilizes it in a different matter then a creation done within the studio's walls/artist personal workspace. This requires from each of the artists the abilities to preform and interact socially in order the live up to the vision that "Vanishing Point" presents. Another layer of real time art is formed by inviting the audience to participate and create under the concept of the show and/or creating an interaction between the
creation and the crowd. Sometimes the relationship between the audience and presenter are ordinary artist-viewers relationship and sometimes the crowd will be asked to participate and take an active part in the exhibit. What is practical part?-it's about taking part in the creation itself in the form of:
wall art, canvas art, sculpturing, forms which the people get an opportunity to express their creativity, or taking part in an artistic action which grants the audience a part of the creation. Other times it's about benefits given to the crowd through artists sharing such as hairstylists, varied film workshops and so forth. What is our function? Vanishing Point is an independent group producing the artistic content for the event from beginning to end:
