Byron Bowers to appear at English Comedy Showcase on September 25th
The English Comedy Showcase is excited to announce that Byron Bowers, an acclaimed stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, will perform at our show on Wednesday, September 25th at MASH Central, Tel Aviv. Known for his sharp, thought-provoking humor, Bowers has earned international recognition across both comedy and film.
Bowers is not only a master of stand-up but also a successful actor. He starred in the film “Concrete Cowboys” alongside Idris Elba, which hit number one on Netflix. He also appears in the award-winning film “Honey Boy” with Shia LaBeouf and Lucas Hedges, a movie that took the Special Jury Prize at Sundance 2019. He’s worked with stars like George Clooney in a globally featured Omaze commercial, and starred in Steven Soderbergh’s films “No Sudden Move” and “KIMI”. Fans may also recognize him as Meldrick in Lena Waithe’s Showtime series “The Chi”, and as Nelson in HBO Max’s animated series “Ten Year Old Tom”, where he both acts and writes. Most recently, he had a recurring role in HBO’s limited series “Irma Vep.”
In the comedy world, Byron Bowers has performed at top-tier festivals including Just for Laughs, SXSW, Moontower, and Austin City Limits, and appeared on TV shows like Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He is also a regular at iconic comedy venues such as The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cellar, and the Hollywood Improv.
