t a range of colorful characters that lived and worked in Sarona in the last 150 years - the founder of the Templar colony in the 19th century through the operations of the Hagana and Lehi, the notorious master sergeant Victor Sasson from the 70s, and the preservation and restoration architects who led the struggle to save Sarona and return it to the public! For approximately an hour and a half the actors and audience will sail on a humorous and fascinating journey around the historical incarnations of Sarona: as a Templar settlement, as a British detention camp, during the time of the Jewish community’s struggle, in the years of forming the state of Israel, in the days of the famous Israeli espionage operations, up until the processes of preservation and restoration of Sarona happening today.

It is hard to imagine a place that encapsulates the Zionist story quite like Sarona does. The colony represents a part of every main crossroad in the past, present and future of the State of Israel. From the first waves of immigration, through the struggle of the Jewish community up until the establishment of the State. “TLV Story” takes these details along with many others and combines them into a full mosaic of Israelism in its many stages. The professional acting, along with the well-researched, meticulous and in-depth script turns abstract concepts such as “Zionism”, “Love of the Land” and “National Security” into something more tangible than ever - and all within a journey that is humorous, educational and captivating.
