I remember the first time I told someone about Gates of Gold, before this page existed or I even dreamt of creating artwork and accessories.

I showed them this gate and accompanying digital artwork. They immediately recognized it (which is half of the enjoyment of creating these pieces 😌😌 .)

This gate is now officially a part of history! I recently drove by, and they had renovated the whole area (scroll to see image at the end of what the area looks like now.)

Kind of grateful that I was able to capture it and have it makes its way into the collection as the Paht gold print and Aliza keychain. Speaking of which, both make excellent Chanukah gifts ✨

It's been a while since I've sat down to write.

This past year has left me feeling depleted.

Loss of energy and creativity. Missing the desire to create and share. Just blank.

The longer I went without posting, the more hesitant I was to start again.

And then I realized this is the perfect time to restart.

This time of year is all about the blank slate.

Starting new and fresh, all of our past mistakes wiped clean in this new year.

So here I am.

Waiting for my new year of adventures to begin on the other side of the door.

Wishing you all a chatima tovah and easy fasting.

I came upon the most beautiful quote tonight in the most unexpected place.

"Every person can transform their surroundings into Jerusalem, by finding the Jerusalem within their hearts." ✨

Personally, there are so many nuances in this saying for me.

How we can create and respect our own boundaries, and create a space for ourselves and others this way.

Or the way Jerusalem automatically unifies everyone within its walls, and how we have the ability to recreate that harmony and unity within our own lives if we allow it 💫

There's something about looking out on these hills, the history of this city, the knowledge of the higher power here that constantly inspires me, the certainty that this is the right place for me. 💛

Once I started creating artwork inspired by Jerusalem doors, I started exploring the history of the architecture here. 🕍🕌🏛️

There are so many unique elements that contribute to the beauty of this city, and I love that there is also meaning to them.

For example, the European Jews in the early 1900s adopted the art deco sun feature into their artwork and building to remind them of the desire to turn East to Jerusalem. Or how many of the churches here were built as mini copies of famous cathedrals in Europe.

And then I had the crazy idea to make jewelry inspired by Jerusalem architecture, using different unique elements that make up this city that's filled with history from different countries and religions over time.

✨ Pieces of Jerusalem that you can wear with you wherever you are in the world
✨ Jewelry that will remind you of the special qualities of Jerusalem and the calling to reach your highest potential.
