With Rosh HaShanah (the Jewish New Year) 🍎🍯 just around the corner, we’re sending our warmest wishes for a year filled with joy, meaning, and new beginnings! 🎉
In Marc Chagall’s 'Joseph' Window, the Shofar 📯 is featured as a symbol of redemption and renewal for the Jewish people in the Land of Israel 🇮🇱, as well as a reminder of Rosh HaShanah’s significance.
As we step into this new year, may it bring us closer together, despite our differences, as we unite as one people 🌍👫❤️ שנה טובה ומתוקה!

Dear Visitors,

Due to the current security situation in Israel, protective coverings were placed on the Chagall windows. As the situation remains uncertain, these coverings are still in place, and the windows are currently blocked and cannot be used for viewing. We will update the public as soon as we are able to reopen.
However, we warmly invite you to visit our Heritage Center, where guided tours are available. These tours showcase the rich and inspiring history of Hadassah.
Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
The Hadassah Offices in Israel

We are eager to share the amazing story of Kfir Cohen! Born in Hadassah hospital, Kfir's family decided to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah here, at the Chagall Windows💫
..Then Kfir came up with a brilliant idea!💡
He decided to donate a significant portion of his Bar Mitzvah money to children at the hospital❤‍🩹

The event was absolutely beautiful and heartwarming! Immediately after the ceremony, Kfir and his family visited the Department of Pediatrics, spreading joy with generous gifts 🎁🩵 Kfir asked each child there to pick whatever gift they wanted the most!🫂

We are so happy to learn from Kfir about the importance of giving and spreading light - even at his young age🌻

We organized an inspiring children's program for displaced families in Israel.

The children were entertained in the hotel where they now temporarily live, with a storytime session and arts & crafts. We also brought gifts from Divote for the mothers who are dealing with this very challenging time🫂

We shared Henrietta Sold'z vision for Hadassah✨ It was so inspiring how Henrietta cared for the local communities in pre-State Israel, through education and healing 📚🥼

We then asked the children about their dreams, and one child's wish was for the war to end so she could see her family together again🙏

Let's hope for peaceful days ahead and encourage these little hearts (and ourselves) to keep dreaming, no matter what.

❤️

Not long ago, we had the honor of hosting a beautiful event—a Brit at Hadassah. The Gorelcik family, evacuees from the south, found a home in Hadassah where their baby was born. We had the privilege of sharing in such a joyous and emotional celebration at Hadassah, right by the Chagall windows, in the midst of the war... We would like to wish a huge MAZAL TOV to the family!. Yoash is the baby's name,"Yo" and "Ash/Esh". "Esh" means fire in Hebrew. May the Jewish flame within continue to illuminate all around, regardless of anyone attempting to dim it. Mazal Tov once again! 🎉✨

🌟 A few days ago we had a visit from a delightful mother and daughter, Dorin Blau and Shani Blau. Dorin is the Vice President of the Beiteinu Chaj foundation, which successfully restored a synagogue in Dzierżoniów, Poland, near Wroclaw 🇵🇱.

It was fascinating to hear her story of reviving Jewish life ✡️ in Poland. She was thrilled to learn how Marc Chagall decided to donate the incredible Windows to our unique synagogue.

Shani, Dorin's daughter, is an Art🎨 and Bible Teacher. She explained how her majors are reflected in the Chagall Windows🪟 and how wonderful it would be to bring her students (4th grade) to Hadassah to teach them about the 12 tribes of Israel through these magnificent works of art.

We are eagerly anticipating this visit!
