A diverse vocal ensemble focusing on polyphonic music, operatic music and traditional Arabic music, residing and performing in the historic city of Jerusalem and its surrounding areas. She has written and taken part as an actress-singer in numerous theatrical pieces collaborating with internationally renowned directors (in Italy and abroad) and is co-writer of the film, Pink Subaru (Turin Film Festival and Japanese Film Festival). Currently, she’s a teacher and vice director of the Magnificat Institute of Jerusalem, the School of Music of the Custody of the Holy Land (in agreement with the Vicenza Conservatory). She is taking care of a series of conferences as speaker, Invitation to the Opera, for the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv. She has been collaborating for many years with the Israeli composer Betty Olivero, for whom she sang her works in First Absolute Ex*****on. She also carried out Arab, Jewish and Neapolitan music projects with ethnic and jazz musicians. She has made recordings for Rai, German Radio (NDR) and for TV2000. Guiliana speaks and write in Italian, English, French and Spanish. She also has a basic level in German, Arabic and Hebrew. Tareq Wahba, Bass Baritone (Bethlehem):
Tareq studied piano in Sicily and later studied opera in Vicenza Conservatory in Italy with Guiliana Mettini. Tareq was a teacher in several private schools in Italy and the Holy Land. He performed many operas roles of bass baritone, likes Puccini, Verdi, Wagner and Rossini more. Tareq reached the finals at the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Studio competition, performed with the Tel Aviv Opera and Jerusalem Opera. Tareq loves opera and choirs. He performed as a soloist in many sacred classical music performances which covered all European music eras. Tareq had many masterclass with international musicians like, Andras Shiff, Giulia Gaberielli and others. He performed in the USA, Italy, France, Switzerland and Finland. Currently, he is a vocal coach and piano instructor. He is also preparing his role in Opera Aida and die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. Rania Ateek, Soprano (Nazareth):
Rania graduated from Emek Yizrael Conservatory, in which she sang in the Shani Choir and performed within as a soloist in the country and in many parts of the world. She is a 4th year student in the vocal department at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance studying with Mrs. Anat Efraty and Dr. Ido Ariel. In the last couple of years, she participated in the summer opera in Tel Aviv in which she had the honor to work with several conductors and voice coaches, like: Kevin Murphy, Michael Shade, Abby Furmansky, Mark Schneibel, Michael Shell, and more. She participated in the opera production of Die Zauberflöte by Mozart, with the role of the First Child Spirit. She also sang in a Broadway concert. Rita Tawil, Soprano (Jerusalem):
Rita studied violin at Magnificat Institute with Mrs. She was a member of the Yasmeen Choir. During that time, she was coached as a singer by Professor Karl Kronthaler. She performed as a soloist in many parts of the world, participated several times at Jugend Musiziert and was one of the cast members of the documentary, Sad Songs of Happiness, directed by Constanze Knoche. She is in her 2nd year as a student at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, studying in the vocal department with Miss Larissa Teteuv and Miss Shmirit Carmi. In the last 2 years she participated in several opera productions with the Jerusalem Lyric Opera, such as: La Zia in Madame Butterfly (Puccini), Margot in Die Lustige Witwe (Lehar) , and Second Spirit Child (2. Knabe) in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart). During this time she had the honor to work with several conductors and voice coaches, such as Ethan Schmeisser, Nir Kaberetti , Deividas Staponkus and more. Maya Janey G., Soprano (United Kingdom):
Maya is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance where she studied her Bachelor's degree with Efrat Ben-Nun and Dr. Zvi Semel. Maya is a member of the Moran vocal ensemble, conducted by Tom Karni and the Jerusalem Chamber Choir, conducted by Stanley Sperber. Recent performances include a Gala concert with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Opera conducted by Omer Arieli, La Traviata with the Jerusalem Opera as a member of the choir and the opening concert of the Jerusalem Symphony Hallelujah Festival performing "Zabur" conducted by Stanley Sperber. Maya is a recipient of the Cultural Foundation (AICF) Scholarship 2016-17 for Vocal Studies. Ghada Khoury Pribble, Alto (Jordan):
Ghada’s musical influence came at an early age from her father, Nadeem Khoury, who was a lover of music. Her first singing performance was in 1st grade. She later studied flute and became the youngest member of the National Orchestra in Jordan. She received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master’s of Arts in Vocal Performance in the U.S. She has worked primarily in music education, teaching music at levels ranging from preschool to college. She sang for five seasons with the Pensacola Opera as a member of the Opera Chorus, singing works by Verdi, Rossini, Puccini, Bizet and others. She was part of the Pensacola Opera’s Education Committee and worked in collaboration with local public schools to write and perform school operas for young children. She also sang in musicals as well as choral concerts. She lives in Jerusalem. Wolfgang W., Tenor (Germany):
Wolfgang studied in Schulmusik and Evangelische Theologie in Heidelberg/Mannheim. After he successfully finished his studies, he went to Weimar and studied Conducting at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in the class of professor Jürgen Puschbeck and professor Gunther Kahlert. At the age of 8, he started singing in a famous boys’ choir called Stuttgarter Hymnus Chorknaben and hasn´t stop singing! He sang in many semi-professional and professional ensembles. For many years, he was conductor of the Altensteiger Vokalensemble and established a Children’s Choir (Chirstophorus-Kinderchor Altensteig) that won many regional, national and international awards. Since 2018, he has been teaching music at Talitha Kumi, a German school in the Holy Land. He wants to continue to support and enrich the music education and life of the children in Talitha Kumi. He also wants to support Tareq Wahba´s dream of building a quality vocal ensemble in the Holy Land.
