אוריון Orion events

"אוריון" הוא מרחב תרבותי בלב העיר ירושלים.
המרחב של אוריון מקשר בין ישראלים לתיירים מכל קצוות הקשת החברתית, והיוצרים המקומיים מתחברים לקהל חדש ובינלאומי.

המרחב נמצא בתוך מתחם "קולנוע אוריון הישן"
ומשלב כמה פלטפורמות חברתיות:

* סינמה הוסטל - הוסטל למטיילים צעירים ותרמילאים

* אוריון בר - בר קוקטיילים

* במות להופעות מוזיקה, פרפורמנס, אירועים קהילתיים, מסיבות ואירועים המשלבים סוגים שונים של אומנ

ות, ופועלים בכל רחבי החלל שלנו

קולנוע אוריון הישן עמד בחזית התרבות הישראלים משנות ה30 עד ה70. מבנה האבן המיוחד עוצב בהשראת אולם הרדיו סיטי בניו יורק.
עד תחילת שנות ה 80 היה הקולנוע בירושלים בירידה וקולנוע "אוריון" היפה נשאר נטוש במשך 25 שנה.

בשנת 2018 צוות הסינמה הוסטל הפיח חיים חדשים בקולנוע מתוך כוונה להפוך אותו למרחב תרבותי אומנות וצעירים ולהיות גורם למהפכה של אומנות בעולם. Orion is a culture cluster in the heart of Jerusalem that connects citizens with the international visitors, and local creators with their audience. The complex combines several platforms for art, communities and content:
Cinema hostel for art-minded travellers, Orion- cocktail bar and several “stages” for avant-garde art, experimental performances and multidisciplinary events. Project’s name refers to the old Orion Cinema that was housing classic, controversial, and independent films, and stood on the frontline of Israeli culture all through the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. The building’s classic Jerusalem stone and impressive dome structure was offset by an interior inspired by the Radio City Music Hall. By the 80s cinema in Jerusalem saw a decline, and the beautiful Orion building lay abandoned for 25 years - until our team brought it back to life, with an intention to make it a “one stop shop” for culture, art and young city life, and become a backstage for a revolution of art in the world.
