And we're back!
Mitspe Hamasuot is open for business as the summer season kicks off. Today I had the pleasure of welcoming former president of Yeshiva University and director of Hillel International, Richard Joel, his wife Esther and two of their grandchildren to the Temple Mount Sifting Project which we host atop the Mount of Olives Ridge. I also got to host the Tannenbaums from NY's Lower East Side, the Danzingers from Cedarhurst, as well as the Grunsfelds from Flatbush. In an era when too many people around the world deny Jewish rights in and to Jerusalem, now is the time to deepen our connection with history by making your presence felt where our history unfolded and by touching the very stones at the foundation of Jewish perseverance.

Spring is a time of renewal and the month of Nissan ushers in that rebirth. Last night at Mitspe Hamasuot, atop the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem - the first night of the month of renewal - our own Dr. Assaf Avraham was joined by Six Day War hero and liberator of Jerusalem Rabbi Dr. Yoel Bin Nun - to renew the kindling of the torches - the Masuot - which was always done in Temple-period Israel to relay the renewal and maintain the unity of time for the entirety of the Jewish world, emanating from Jerusalem.
