Continuing his musical education throughout his childhood he went to college at SUNY Binghamton in the late seventies and was one of the members of the Progressive Bluegrass ensemble Old

Later on he was part of the popular "Bob Fitzgerald Band" Playing all over New York State and the surrounding area
Graduating Colege in 1981 with a BA in Psychology he emigrated to Israel and quickly became a part of the country and folk scene in Jerusalem becoming a charter member of the Jerusalem Taverners. Members of this band still perform together and Yonatan sells their CD's
He took part in the iconic Israeli TV show "Shminiyot Ba'avir" and played with several well known Israeli artists until he became a part of the Trio "Like a Gypsy" (כמו צועני) and following that they became "Hoppa Hey" (הופה הי) that became a hit TV show for kids
Yonatan left the show in 1990 and continued to perform and record in Israel until 2003 when he moved to the United States
He lived in the NY city area for a couple of years then was one of the founding members of the Cirque du Soleil production CORTEO and proceeded to perform around Canada and the USA until April 2006 when he left the show and stayed in Phoenix Arizona for the next six years performing and recording extensively with bands in styles of Irish, Country Western, Flamenco, Greek, Israeli, and more including several steady "synagogue" and "church" gigs performing at worship services
In 2012 Yonatan moved back to Israel and is currently living in the Jerusalem area and back to performing with Shay Tochner of the Taverners and other artists and also returning to recording work
Yonatan offers recording services and can play on the violin, electric violin, mandolin, mandolin-banjo, clarinet, recorders pennywhistles harmonica and more

The Jerusalem Taverners were a fun mix of musicians and personalities that explored the depths of Country Folk Irish Blues Rock Bluegrass Country and more starting during the late 70's in Jerusalem - some names that have played with the band on or off are David Deckelbaum and Dave Gould may they rest in peace, Morag O'callahan, Paul Moore, Shay Tochner, Elisha Avshalom, Ruby Harris, David Mencher, Sarah Marcus, Eli Marcus, Ted Cooper Doron Ginosar and Yonatan Miller
Yonatan Miller has been recording for years with many various artists here are his first two personal releases. Both CD's Jewish Soul and Nothing New, Only Different were produced and recorded by Yonatan. On Jewish Soul he plays all of the tracks himself and mixdown by Liv Khalsa Singh of Invincible Music.
