The Tzora Folk Club

The Tzora Folk Club Regular monthly meetings hosted by Judi 'n' Lynn Lewis at the Samson Beer Garden (מבשלת שמשון) -
the Interested "newbees" should contact us first.

We've now changed the format of the folk club which is now slightly more formal/commercial. Each month we will be hosting one or two performers from our family of folk artists, preceded by a "warm-up" act. Anyone interested interested in performing should contact us. While we no longer have a regular "open stage/mike" we still try to encourage new artists and from time to time will give them a chance to perform at the club.

Here are some photos of the late evening musical sessions.

It is with a little regret that I must report that after some twenty years, the Tzorafolk web site will be closing down in another 30 days as I have decided not to renew the server and domain subscriptions. Apart from becoming more expensive to maintain, I'm getting too old for this stuff.
Everything is backed up and I still have all the files on my computer, so if you need anything from the archives they will still be available.
Just to remind you what folders will be closing, they are: The Tzora Folk Club, The Bluegrass Songbook, Galilee Thunder, Canaan Country, Judi & Lynn Lewis, Scudero's Place, The Southern Ramblers,he Lewis Family Tree Genealogical Project and various musical odds and ends.
If anyone feels like taking over any of these pages, I'd be more than happy to pass the files over to you.
All that is left to say is that it's been a blast and thank you all for your support over the years.

If any further proof is needed that bluegrass and grassicana have extended well beyond the American heartland, one need only look towards the Holy Land.

“We’re going on a picnic” is the title of a song by our late friend Ray Scudero z”l.
Twice a year we invite friends to join us at Kibbutz Tzora for a sing-along with song sheets including a few songs that Ray wrote so we remember him and the good times we had together making music.
We will meet on Friday 28th September at the pergola behind the Moadon Vatikim from 11.00 to 14.00.
Chag succot sameach to all

Hi Folks - it's been a few months since we posted anything on this page but we will be having a SING-ALONG/PICNIC on the pergola behind the Moadon Vatikim from 11.00 to 14.30 on FRIDAY 2nd MARCH (Shoshan Purim).
We have added a number of new songs to the song sheets so bring your reading glasses and musical instruments and come along for a fun day out.
We will provide chairs and hot and cold drinks.
Please bring your own picnic lunch and cake or cookies to share.
If by chance it is raining we can be indoors....it is Purim after all....
Looking forward to seeing y'all

Just a reminder to newcomers that we no longer hold regular monthly meetings due to lack of support. However we do have the occasional special evening as well as Spring and Autumn Jam-Session/Sing-along/Picnic when the weather is just about right. Keep watching this page for updates.

I've had a problem with my computer and have lost my email address book. The backup wouldn't back up. If you have been in contact with me by email or would like to, please send me a brief email to [email protected] with "Add to address book" in the subject line. Many thanks - Lynn
