🌟Temple Michael🌟
Went exploring and rambling the countryside around Youghal. Lots of things to see and do. We found this old house and a church in ruin in Temple Michael.

A great spot.

🌟Sea Holly on the beach at Youghal🌟

One of my favourite seaside plants, Sea Holly or Eryngium maritimum. Normally found growing in sand dunes among the marm grass. I love green, grey colour of the leaves and the lilac colour of the flower.

Is it prickly? Sure is, that's why they call it Sea Holly.

🌟Do you see it?🌟
The white tail?
White tailed bumblebee.

I love the lavender, and was concerned two weeks ago when I didn't see many bumble bees flying around and feeding. Today however, there are lots, it was probably just too early.

Carder Bumble bees, white tailed bumble bees and a little black bodied fella with a ginger tail.

🌟Don't you love summer?🌟

10.45pm, clear sky, looking North West, and this is what we have😍.

I just love the light on these long summer nights. I get a real sense of value of having such a full day. The things that I get to do and experiences I get to have.

For this I am grateful.

🌟Hard at work🌟

Seen many Bumblebees bees in your garden??
Bumblebees foraging in the lavender. Every year there is always a great show in the back garden. I can usually hear the humming of the bumblebees as they forage away among the lavender.

This year, their numbers seem to have dropped off. Not sure if it's too early in the summer, is it too cold, or if their numbers have dropped off. Hard to know.
