IÓ-DA (YO-DA) is a combination of yoga and dance, designed to help children with flexibility, core muscle strength, concentration while having fun and making new friends 😃

OUR TEACHERS

Deirdre is a qualified yoga instructor who has been teaching yoga through Irish for many years. She is also a primary school teacher and a native gaolgeoir. Her family just got a new puppy who already knows 'sit' in Irish.

Olivia is a dance and drama teacher, formerly with Junior Broadway Stage School in Wexford. Before moving to Wexford, Olivia performed on Broadway, off Broadway and off-off Broadway. The only Irish Olivia can speak is to ask to go to the bathroom.

OUR CLASSES

In the first half of the class, Deirdre will lead the children in a selection of yoga moves especially designed for younger people. Younger children will follow a story while the older class will learn through music.
In the second half of the class, Olivia will teach a dance incorporating the yoga moves we have just learnt.

Each class will have new yoga moves, new songs, new dances, new games and new stories.

IÓ-DA (yo-da) is a new way to encourage children to exercise and gain confidence while also having fun and meeting new friends. And we will also learn a cúpla focal Gaeilge on the way 😀
