A little throwback to one of our favourite holiday. ❤️🇹🇷

Turkey has been part of my life since I was 15. To most people it's just a holiday destination, but to me and my family it's so much more than that.

It's where some of my happiest memories were made with my mam, my nana and the family members we miss so much. Every time we go back, it feels like a little piece of them is still there with us.

Mary's House has become a place of gratitude, hope and prayer for our family. We've gone there asking for strength during difficult times and giving thanks for the blessings we've received.

This year reminded us how precious good health really is after our daughter became unwell and spent time in hospital. Thankfully she's home, she's doing well and, please God, she'll continue to grow stronger every day.

We may have missed this year's holiday, but we've booked another one. It might not be the holiday we originally planned, and that's okay. We'll have a pool, we'll have sunshine, we'll have each other, and we'll make our way back to Mary's House to give thanks for everything we still have.

Sometimes life changes your plans, but it also reminds you what truly matters.

Feeling incredibly grateful today. ❤️

Today is the LAST day to vote in the awards! ✨

If you've been meaning to vote but haven't gotten around to it yet, I'd be so grateful if you could spare two minutes to do so today. ❤️

I'm incredibly honoured to be shortlisted in three categories, and every single vote means the world to me.

If you've already voted, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support, messages, shares and encouragement never go unnoticed. 🥰

The voting link is in my bio and I'll share it on my stories too to make it easy.

Thank you for supporting RPB Designs and being part of this journey. ❤️

After spending nights sleeping on a hospital chair, I've gained a whole new appreciation for something many of us rarely think about... our own bed.

Let's just say sleeping in a hospital chair is a bit like sleeping on a plane, except when you wake up, there's no holiday destination waiting for you! 😅

Walking back into my bedroom and climbing into my own bed felt like the greatest luxury in the world.

If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I'm always preaching that your bedroom should be your sanctuary, a place where you can retreat from the world, rest, recharge and feel completely at ease.

After the past week, I have an even greater appreciation for just how important that sanctuary really is. Our homes aren't just about interiors, they're about how they make us feel. They hold us, comfort us and help us heal.

And while I've joked about the hospital chair, I know how fortunate I was to even have one. I was incredibly grateful to be allowed to stay by my daughter's side and for the opportunity to be close to her throughout it all.

Most importantly, we are beyond grateful to have our daughter home, safe and doing so well.

Thank you to everyone who sent messages, prayers, checked in on us and showed such kindness. I have been completely blown away by the love and support we've received. Every message meant more than you'll ever know, and our family is so grateful for each and every one of you.

Tonight, I'll be appreciating my own bed a little more than usual and feeling very thankful for the simple things that are actually the big things. ❤️

And while I've joked about the hospital chair, I know how fortunate I was to even have one. I was incredibly grateful to be allowed to stay by my daughter's side and for the opportunity to be close to her throughout it all.

A recent bathroom design created for clients seeking a timeless and sophisticated space that would feel as beautiful in years to come as it does today.

The scheme layers classic architectural detailing with luxurious finishes, combining traditional wall panelling with marble-effect porcelain tiles laid in a herringbone pattern for added texture and elegance. Warm brushed brass fixtures introduce richness and contrast, while the bespoke shower enclosure creates a strong focal point within the room.

Thoughtfully integrated lighting within the recessed shower niche provides both practicality and atmosphere, enhancing the natural beauty of the materials and creating a subtle spa-like ambience. A built-in shower bench further elevates the experience, offering comfort without compromising on the clean, tailored aesthetic.

For us, great design is about more than selecting beautiful finishes. It's about creating spaces that are functional, considered and deeply personal to the people who use them every day.

This bathroom is a perfect example of how timeless design, carefully curated materials and attention to detail can transform a functional room into a luxurious retreat.

I’ve been following Gavin’s journey from the very beginning, and watching his talent grow and evolve over the years has been such an absolute joy.

To see where he is now, surrounded by so many friends, supporters, and people who genuinely admire his work, was incredibly special. I felt so honoured to be invited to the opening of his exhibition and to experience such an amazing night celebrating not only his art, but the person behind it all too.

There’s something really special about seeing someone step fully into their talent and own it, and Gavin is doing exactly that. This truly feels like the beginning of something massive for him, and I honestly couldn’t be happier to watch it unfold.

A huge congratulations to you, Gavin. You are unbelievably talented, and you are absolutely one to watch ✨

One thing I’ve learned with projects is that sometimes you’re handed things you simply can’t change like fire doors due to regulations and instead of fighting against them, you have to work with what you’ve got and find a way to make them beautiful.
I actually decided to lean into ours as a feature rather than trying to disguise them, and I’m delighted with how they turned out in the end. They’ve become such a pretty part of the overall project now 😊

Sometimes the best design decisions come from questioning what a home really needs.
My clients had two adjoining spare bedrooms, but in reality, they didn’t need two extra guest rooms. As they were downsizing from a larger home, storage had become a huge priority for them. Like most of us, they had accumulated years of belongings and wanted to make sure their new home worked beautifully for real life, with plenty of practical storage woven into the design.
So instead of holding onto unnecessary space, we completely reimagined the layout and created a luxurious guest suite with its own dressing room.
And this is where the magic happened…
The clients fully embraced the brave. They’re adventurous by nature and wanted the dressing room to feel whimsical, layered and a little unexpected. We designed a full wall of floor to ceiling wardrobes to maximise storage, while keeping the space feeling elegant and cocooning.
We used Dusk from on the walls, while the wardrobes, skirting and doors were all painted in Work of Art also from , creating depth and richness throughout the room. To elevate the space even further, we wallpapered the ceiling, a detail that completely transformed the atmosphere and brought that dreamy boutique feel the clients were hoping for.
The result feels playful, sophisticated and incredibly personal to them, which is always the goal.
The clients are absolutely delighted with it… and honestly, so am I 🤍
Would you sacrifice a spare bedroom for a dressing room like this?

Still pinch myself that I get to do a job I genuinely love every single day. ✨
Even with the stress, sleepless nights, pressure, and the imposter syndrome that can hit hard sometimes… I wouldn’t change it.
The freedom this career gives me and the creativity I get to explore daily is something I never take for granted. Creating beautiful, meaningful spaces for people is honestly so fulfilling and reminds me why I started this journey in the first place. 🤍
Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself… this is the dream I once hoped for. ✨

And this was a pinch me moment big time
