We took a little breather this summer but we’re gearing up to get back to rehearsals in September.

Auditions are starting the week of the 17th of August but there’s still time to sign up.

Six years ago Sinéad Furlong started The Voice Studio Wexford as a place where people could explore their voices, build their confidence and, most importantly, enjoy singing. What began back in 2020 with one-to-one lessons has since grown to include two adult pop and rock choirs, Anam Choir and The Social Singers. Anam Choir is an auditioned group that meets each week to sing, have the craic and prepare for performances throughout the year. The Social Singers is open to everyone, with no audition and no experience needed, just a love of singing and a willingness to give it a go. Performing is always optional, and for many of the members, the biggest part of it is simply the social aspect and the getting out of the house, meeting new people and being part of such a friendly group.

Traditionally, Wexford is a musical town, and it is fantastic to see Sinéad creating something so welcoming and full of life right in the heart of it.....Well done, Sinéad and fair play to every one of the singers involved. 👏

We had such a lovely time performing at the Ruth Gallagher | Creative Sound Workshops fundraiser for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind at Wexford County Council yesterday evening alongside other amazing local choirs and performers.

Adding another layer to our warm up this week.

Singing through one of our favourite rounds, Bella Mama, and taking a stroll around the rehearsal space.

We were experimenting to see if we could break away from our part while keeping our focus and seeing if we could pick out our lines from elsewhere in the room.

It also had a nice relaxing, meditative effect and it was gorgeous to hear all of the different voices resonating around the room! 🥰
