It’s one of those instruments everybody loves but few ever get to touch. Here’s your chance!

On Thursday 20 August, our resident harp instructor Karissa Thatcher is hosting a free evening of taster sessions at WAMA. She’ll take you on a tour of the instrument, its history, how it’s played, what it’s capable of, with plenty of time for questions and a chance to play the harp yourself 🪉

Two sessions, so the pace suits you:

🎵 Complete beginners, 7pm to 8pm
🎵 Read music or play another instrument, 8pm to 9pm
🟢Children and adults welcome at both

Come and lose yourself in the world of the harp for an hour!

𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱 🎭
Give a young person enough opening nights that won’t wait and enough shows that have to go on regardless, and you get someone who can walk into anything and make it work.
They learn to hit a deadline that has no give in it. To take direction and run with it. To hold their nerve with a full house watching and back the person beside them without being asked. Skills you can’t fake, built one show at a time, and they carry into whatever they do next.
That’s what we’re really doing here. The performances are the part you see ☺️

What A Show! 🎭
We’re still tapping our toes after two incredible nights at Garter Lane Theatre for our Dance Academy Showcase!
From Tap to Ballet, Contemporary to Intensive, our dancers brought serious energy and skill to the stage with excerpts from Moulin Rouge and more, PLUS beautiful solo performances from students of our 1:1 vocal lessons with Liam Butler 🎶
A huge thank you to dance teacher Ali Reville, who puts her heart and soul into every class and every dancer ❤️Watching them perform was a reminder of just how much work she puts in behind the scenes every week.
Wishing you all a brilliant summer, see you in September! ☀️
