The Lit Festival Waterford

The Lit Festival Waterford We are Europe's first festival of reading & writing curated for youth, by youth.

9th-11th October 2026 🔥

The Lit Festival is the brainchild of WYA's 14-19 years creative writing group who felt there was no event in Waterford (and Ireland at large) that encouraged people of their own age to actively engage with literature and the wonderful world of words.

We are proud to support Pride of the Déise at their 7th festival, and are honoured to provide a safe space for young people in Waterford to explore creativity and fight for change 🌈 Regardless of who you are, your voice matters, your story matters, and we're here to keep fighting for Waterford's Creative Youth to be heard 🗣️
